Independent Living for Adults with Unique Capabilities.

ROAR Florida provides a vibrant and inclusive living community for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Centered around a safe, independent-living home, residents can select from a range of support services as required.

Our team of compassionate professionals is committed to providing customized services, enabling our residents to live as independently as possible, and empowering them to live meaningful and productive lives within their homes and the community.

The Master Community

Residents have a variety of home choices and access to a wide range of social, recreational, fitness, educational, and vocational activities and amenities.

Comprised of cozy neighborhoods, the community’s homes face lush greenbelt areas. The front porches overlook a landscaped pathway system with benches for meeting with friends and neighbors, a tranquility area, and two screened gazebos. The paths are connected throughout the community, and thoughtfully designed to encourage walking, jogging, and cycling for exercise and to facilitate socialization.

Our Clubhouse is currently home to ROAR‘s administrative staff and Royal American property management company. It is also the venue for many of our residents’ activities and gatherings.

Clubhouse Reception – where our residents register for activities and book meals.

Multi-Purpose Room – used for dining, playing games, yoga, theater, movie night and a bunch of other cool stuff.

Screened Porches – our residents love to gather here and spend time together.

Video Game Room – hang out with friends with Play Station, Wii,
Xbox, games and more.

Quiet Room – enjoy a movie with a few friends.

Roar Florida currently offers two low-cost residential rental communities that promote independence and quality of life. Roar Florida does not offer or provide daily-living support services at any of their residential rental communities.

Although each apartment has a fully-equipped kitchen, the center also includes a dining room where residents can choose to socialize and dine together. There’s also a high-tech games room, meeting spaces, and a stage. Furthermore, The center has been built to meet or exceed emergency evacuation shelter specifications, providing a safe place for our residents during events.

The Villages offer a small community atmosphere and a transitional stepping stone for individuals who aim to live and/or work within the greater community. It also provides a permanent residential setting for those who seek a more traditional community lifestyle.

They have a private bedroom and bathroom, though we also have a two-story garage with a second-floor apartment (affectionately called “The Penthouse”), that’s home to two residents. “The Penthouse” is a 2-bedroom, 1-bath apartment. All homes (excluding the garage apartment) are handicapped-friendly. Each has various features, including roll-in showers, wide hallways and doors, and an open design to make day-to-day living easier for individuals using a wheelchair to assist with mobility.
